John Kozlowski
Founder

INNOWOOD founder John Kozlowski founded Innowood with the goal of protecting the environment by providing designers and specifiers with a range of sustainable alternatives to traditional wood. John brings more than 40 years of comprehensive product development experience and technical knowledge to INNOWOOD, with expertise ranging from design to production including engineering, fabrication and manufacturing techniques.

In 2006, based on his extensive extrusion knowledge and experience, Mr Kozlowski innovated to extrude composite timber profiles and pioneered the concept of combining wood and aluminium, to make it the ideal solution for the Sydney Wildlife Zoo project located at Darling Harbour in the heart of Sydney City. It’s the first project with the application of composite wood material in the industry.

It has been over 18 years since the success of the Sydney Wildlife Zoo project encouraged INNOWOOD to further develop and promote composite timber alternatives into the building industry, where it continues to be used for a variety of applications. The products have been proven to be sound and durable whilst retaining the look and feel of timber.

RESEARCH
& DEVELOPMENT

For more than a decade, John Kozlowski has led the technical team to design and develop complete systems to continually improve and innovate new composite wood products. Flexible, lightweight and easy to install, INNOWOOD is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments in commercial, residential and industrial applications. INNOWOOD product systems can also improve the energy efficiency that in turn dramatically lower the long-term costs and reduces the carbon footprint of the buildings.

INNOWOOD is proud to be the world's leading supplier of composite wood, providing quality products, technical support and product solutions to architects, designers and builders. The versatility and product performance of our products contribute to our growth and success in Australia and overseas.
