INNOWOOD IN HEALTHCARE

Completed in April 2020, the Somerset Specialist Centre is located across from Nepean Public Hospital.

We are proud and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this healthcare facility that features our INNOWOOD sustainable timber alternative in a tested and compliant fire rated formulation. Adding a warmth look and feel of natural timber to the external soffit lining, internal ceiling and wall linings whilst complying with the required fire performance requirements.

Client: Somerset Private Hospital & Barwon Investment
Architect: Bureau SRH

Project Manager: Essence Project Management

INNOWOOD can offer Group 1 Performance Formulation

INNOWOOD can produce a performance formulation upon request that can achieve Group 1 fire rating in accordance to AS/NZS 3837 – Specification 2.4 of BCA

 Fire Performance Requirements
INNOWOOD WHITEPAPER

Fire safety is highly regulated in Australia’s building industry but meeting existing fire performance requirements does not mean having to sacrifice the use of internal and external architectural timber products.

The INNOWOOD composite timber material has been tested to achieve up to a Group 1 rating (ASNZS 3837 – Specification A2.4 of BCA) or up to BAL- 29 Rating (AS3959:2009 – Construction of Building in Bushfire Prone Areas, Appendix F), Upon request based on specific project requirements. INNOWOOD Boards can achieve these ratings with the option of high performance formulas that have been modified from the standard formulation, whilst still maintaining the natural look and feel of real timber.
