Awards: Marrickville Medal for Conservation 2020 – finalist

Image 2

Originally a vacant terrace house, 3 Hearn Street was transformed by Robert Parisi Architecture + Design both inside and out in an excellent manner. Utilising Innowood’s face and rear fixing screening system the architect created a striking feature façade elevating its appearance. This refurbishment was a great success and was even a finalist for the Marrickville Medal for Conservation in 2020.

The feature screening used on both the front and side of the terrace house created a linear pattern of timber slats with gaps evoking a sense of depth. The use of a timber-look product also creates a sense of age and allowed the terrace to be both modern in design while not clashing with the other nearby terrace houses.
