CARE & MAINTENANCE

After INNOWOOD products are used outdoors for a period, the colour will change due to geographical location, degree of sunlight exposure, weather conditions and other environmentally specific reasons (such as severe air pollution, dust accumulation, etc.) Although INNOWOOD products are protected by a coating layer, they will still fade to varying degrees over time.

INNOWOOD like natural wood, exhibits similar natural phenomena including expansion and contraction from heat and moisture absorption. These actions can contribute to the peeling of the products exterior coating layer. It is also possible that when INNOWOOD is exposed to continual sunlight, situated near the sea, frequently waterlogged or subject to humidity the exterior factory coating layer may peel gradually. As a result after a certain period, influenced by the severity of the environment, coating layer aging and peeling will slowly occur.

We recommend regular inspection and maintenance to extend the life of your INNOWOOD product coating. Simply clean and rinse the product regularly using a standard water line to remove surface dirt, or salt to ensure optimal coating performance and appearance. Do not use abrasive substances or chemicals, such as sugar soaps and synthetic thinners, to clean surfaces, and do not use high-pressure cleaners.

Whether or how often recoating is required depends on the user’s colour requirements. It is recommended that when using INNOWOOD products outdoors, maintenance inspections of cladding and screen products should be carried out every 12 months. It is recommended that maintenance checks be performed on the decking every 6 months.
