EXTINGUISHING COMPOSITE TIMBER MYTHS

582fbade-b888-420a-b3e4-d2c9eb89caf5

Fire safety is highly regulated in Australia’s building industry and Fire Rated building materials has been a hot topic especially after The Grenfell Tower fire tragedy. This event has fuelled a myth that all composite timber are not fire safe.

Thanks to INNOWOOD which can provide a fire rated material that is locally tested under the Australian standards for fire rating (AS1530.3). Further, INNOWOOD boards have been tested and can achieve up to a Group 1 rating (ASNZS 3837 – Specification A2.4 of BCA) or up to BAL- 29 Rating (AS3959:2009 – Construction of Building in Bushfire Prone Areas, Appendix F) upon request for specific project requirements.

Now you do not have to sacrifice the use of architectural timber products for your next project. Innowood can debunk the myths associated with all composite timbers being highly flammable.
