Sydney Wildlife Zoo is located in Darling Harbour. The special design is surrounded by a large stainless steel mesh roof structure supported only by curved steel beams. The design of the curved beam looks like the ribs of a rainbow snake in aboriginal mythology. With this unique project, the designer had specified the use of lightweight Innowood cladding and screening for the exterior façade and soffits surrounding the building. A Natural Weathered Wood colour was selected and the Wild Life Zoo was completed in 2006.

Sydney Wildlife Zoo Completed in 2006
It has been 15 years since the project was completed in August 2006. Sydney Wildlife Zoo planned to renovate the complex and the designer decided to change Innowood’s colour from the original Weathered Wood to the Red Cedar colour.
In the past 15 years, Innowood products have withstood the challenges of hot summers and the environment by the seaside at Darling Harbour. This proves that the Innowood products are both durable and environmentally friendly.
